E-Connection

E-Connection is a computer consulting company that specializes in working with senior citizens. In addition to teaching computer classes, I work one-on-one with individuals, in their homes, helping them enhance their computer skills and also repairing computers on-site.

I have been running my business, E-Connection, for the past 10 years spending most of my time at Piper Shores in Scarborough, The Highlands in Topsham and Ocean View in Falmouth. This job has given me a real insight into the elderly population. Seniors are a curious and educated group of people; they are also fairly intimidated by the fast evolving world of technology, as are many of us!

Senior citizens can reap the benefits of computer technology and likely make their lives a little easier. We all can become part of the Internet community and attain skills which are life enhancing, attainable and fun. There are great resources for people with disabilities. Computer hardware and software can put computing within the reach of almost anyone. Correspondence, personal finance, game playing, and on-line Information gathering are just a few examples of ways computers can enhance life.

My goal is to see that seniors embrace technology and engage in our contemporary world.
